Ascoltare, lasciarsi emozionare, trasformare la musica in forme e colori. E’ un concerto “Jazz Moments” del fotografo Marco Bizzotto e attraverso i volti degli artisti, colti nei loro momenti di intensità e portati sulla pagina racconta una storia.

È la storia di una passione, nata grazie alle serate del Panic Club di Marostica, e cresciuta fino a divenire la professione per la vita.
Così, sono musicisti jazz i protagonisti di “Jazz Moments”, ma è jazz anche l’animo di questo libro-raccolta: jazz è l’intensità che si coglie già dalle prime pagine, jazz il ritmo, tra bianco e nero, colore e brevi testi o grafiche che spuntano a sorpresa; jazz la capacità di coinvolgere il lettore, immergendolo nelle atmosfere di una serata al club.
Una serata in compagnia degli artisti: stelle come Paolo Fresu, Antonello Salis, Jason Moran, Jeff Ballard e Bobby Durham che incrociano il lettore, colti dallo sguardo del fotografo in momenti ad alta intensità.

E dopo aver solleticato la vista, si possono chiudere gli occhi lasciandosi trasportare nel ricordo: l’attesa per il concerto e gli spettatori che prendono posto; la stella del jazz, davvero lì a un passo, che ti saluta come si fa con un vecchio amico; le prime note ad aprire su uno standard condiviso e la magia dell’improvvisazione che rende ogni concerto unico e irripetibile.
Ancora, i vecchi appassionati che annuiscono dalle prime file e assegnano al concerto la patente di qualità. Tutto questo è “Jazz Moments”.

E tra i meriti di un libro che invita a percorrere, gustandole, tutte le pagine, ci sono la capacità dell’autore di entrare immediatamente nel “mood” di un’arte musicale che è di per sé narrazione e atmosfera e la profondità dello sguardo che scende nel particolare mettendone il significato a disposizione del lettore. Operazione non semplice, questa, perché per riuscirci ci vogliono occhio fine, ma soprattutto tanta passione.
Quella che l’autore, Marco Bizzotto, ha maturato presentandosi puntuale ad ogni appuntamento del cartellone al Panic.
Macchina fotografica e obiettivo professionale pronti, ha colto gli attimi da consegnare alla memoria ricomponendoli in una storia che profuma di vita nella bellezza delle cose autentiche e merita, oggi, un grande applauso.

And among the merits of a book that invites you to explore all the pages, enjoying them, is the author’s ability to immediately enter the “mood” of a musical art—that is in itself narration and atmosphere and the depth of the gaze which goes into detail—making its meaning available to the reader. This is no easy task, because to succeed takes a fine eye, but above all a lot of passion. One that the author, Marco Bizzotto, has developed by presenting himself on time to every show on the bill at the Panic. Camera and professional lens ready, he has captured the moments to be consigned to memory by recomposing them in a story that smells of life in the beauty of authentic things and deserves a big round of applause today.
